Theresa ConleyTheresa Conley
University of Cincinnati
A Chicago native, Theresa Conley is currently enrolled as a Master of Community Planning student at the University of Cincinnati. Theresa is specializing in physical planning, with a particular emphasis on sustainable land use. She is active in the community as a Peace Corps Fellow, having served from 2002-2004 as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mongolia. Upon graduating in the spring of 2008, Theresa hopes to build upon her experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer and Seasongood Intern by working, as a city planner, to implement socially, environmentally, and economically sustainable development practices at the local level.

Maria ScheitzMaria Scheitz
University of Cincinnati
A 2006 graduate of the University of Louisville, Maria Scheitz is currently working on a Master's of Community Planning at the University of Cincinnati.  Upon graduating, she hopes to pursue a career in planning or local government. From this internship, Maria hopes to gain a better understanding of the political realm and its role in the planning process.



Alexandria WhiteAlexandria White
Miami University
A 2002 graduate from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, Ohio, Alexandria White recently receive her Bachelors of Arts in Public Administration from Miami University. In the next few years, she plans to pursue her Masters Degree in Public Administration or Health Service Administration. From this internship, Alexandria hopes to gain a better understanding about local government and personnel functions. She is pleased to have been chosen as a Seasongood Intern and hopes to gain experience and knowledge that will enable her to make decisions about her future career path.


Lauren StuyLauren Stuy
Xavier University
Originally from Indianapolis, IN, Lauren is an undergraduate student at Xavier University. She is enrolled in the Philosophy, Politics & the Public (PPP) Program, a multidisciplinary honors program that examines the public a multi-dimensional domain of shared consciousness, ideals and action through philosophical works and the political system. Lauren is also majoring in Spanish and pursuing a minor in History. She hopes that her internship in the City Manager's Office will expose her to the many facets of local government while guiding her toward a more specific career path to pursue following completion of her degree.


Anna RahtzAnna Rahtz
Kent State University
Anna graduated this spring from Kent State University with a B.S. in Architecture. She is a Cincinnati native, and lives in Monfort Heights. In the fall, she will start at the University of Cincinnati in the Masters of Community Planning program, in which she plans to specialize in International Development and Historic Preservation. In the internship at the Cincinnati Human Relations Commission, she hopes to branch out beyond her architecture background and learn much more about the social issues at work in cities in preparation for her career as a Planner in the public sector.


Julia FergusonJulia Ferguson
University of Cincinnati
A political science major at the University of Cincinnati, Julia will receive her undergraduate degree in the spring of 2008. She plans to pursue a graduate degree in non-profit management and public administration, after which she hopes to work in local government and non-profit organizations. From this internship Julia hopes to gain experience working in local government, as well as learn techniques to encourage more government accountability and greater citizen engagement.
